As I am yet to produce an area where we can discuss evidence, I will post the audio capture sent to me from a Bristol-based dental surgery here.

We would be grateful if you could post your ideas on what this is saying - we are not 100% convinced it is paranormal, as there are a few ideas of logical explanations floating around in our heads.

The message is played three times (separated by the beeps).  What is odd about this is the lack of information left by the caller (caller ID, time of call etc.)

It has been reported that there is some activity taking place at this practice, but for the time being I will not give any more information on the exact location (dental practices are scary enough - without the need for the fear of a poltergeist!!!).

Just wanted to say I liked your post on the bulletin board.

I had a quick look on your site and I also am sure my family house was haunted and experienced lots of odd things and saw a ghost eventually and from then on saw nothing more at home..i thought it was like a goodbye and don’t be scared visit!

I used to work at Wonford House Hospital in Exeter which was built as a Psychiatric hospital way back and still is.  That was a very scary place and had many ghostly things happen.  A few weeks before I left I was working very late there and know that there was something in the room with me and felt freezing and my eyes watered and was petrified!

I have never been into things like Most Haunted but certainly believe ghosts exist.

Hi Jason, very briefly, ever since I have been in my house I have seen and heard heavy foot steps on numerous occasions what I believe to be a highway man. This is supported by the local history. I have also had (I believe from him) paranormal activities, hair pulling and unfortunate for my husband the feeling of being strangled on at least 2 occasions. He has also sat on the edge of my bed numerous times. But it has been a while since I have had any activity at all. This is in a nut shell; I could tell you more if you wish. I live in Bitton, 2 seconds away from a turnpike cottage and have done a little research. Finding that there may have been a hang mans tree outside my house which makes sense. I does not bother me and there hasn’t been any  time that I have been afraid, however, I can’t speak for my Husband.

Hi Jason,

I just wanted to share my ghostly encounters with you. With my job as an Area Sales Manager I stay away quite regularly and approx 6 years ago I was staying at the Travel Inn/Lodge in Tamworth and was awoken in the middle of the night by someone/something nudging me over in the bed. As you can imagine I was quite startled and opened my eyes to see an outline of someone sitting up in bed next to me as if they were reading, although there was no physical body there was a blue outline quite clearly of an older gentleman. I dont mind telling you I was frozen to the spot but at the same time transfixed as well as scared, but there was no feeling of menace or threat at all. This ghost/apparition kept nudging me over for more space (cheeky git) as I had paid for the room (o:

After what seemed like an eternity the apparition dissapeared much to my releif. I had to stay in the same hotel some weeks after this and they booked me into the same room, I changed the room and sort of told them what had happened during my previous stay, but I could tell she thought I was a nutter by the look on her face!!

Also many years ago after leaving home I shared a house with my sister and brother in law in Reading. It was a Victorian terraced house (quite small) near Cemetary Junction. For some reason my room was always cold no matter what the weather, and I had experienced many times waking up as someone sat on the end of my bed during the middle of the night pinning my feet to the bed, but I never had the bottle to look at whatever it was, I just lay there scared shitless!!! I was happy when we moved from that house.

well firstly I would like to thank everyone who has submitted content to Ghosts...and More, as your stories have been fascinating.

Regular readers may have been aware that this page has had some sort of glitch before now, so I have decided to change the style of these submissions into a blog-like format.  That way, it's easy for me to update and easier for you to actually browse through.
